STRANGE FIGURATIONS
SEPTEMBER 8 - OCTOBER 3, 2010
Opening September 11, 5-7pm
Strange Figurations focuses our attention on unusual and inexplicable figurative art forms.
Some works seem intended to shock us with meaningless weirdness, weirdness for its own sake. Other pieces tell stories and although strange in appearance, have political and cultural messages attached. Overall the intent is to provoke thought, through direct symbolism, storytelling and by touching our innate, primal curiosity.
